Bioeconomy is a growing sector in Ontario with tremendous opportunities at many levels for producers, processors, manufacturers, and consumers.

Ontariobioproducts.ca is a public web-based directory of organizations throughout the entire value chain of the agri-based bioproducts sector in Ontario, with a focus on bio-based materials, chemicals, and fuels.

The directory lists the following entities in Ontario’s bioproducts value chain:

  • Producers, grower associations,  and other relevant non-profit agriculture and forestry-based organizations.
  • Private companies processing and/or manufacturing industrial and consumer products, biochemicals and bioenergy from biomass;
  • Organizations providing services in support of Ontario bioproducts.
  • Research institutions.
  • Government agencies.

This directory is intended to foster linkages among the bioproduct organizations and promote research and development of the agriculture- and forestry-based bioproducts sectors.

The directory is hosted and maintained by the Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) at the University of Guelph. To ensure that the database stays relevant we invite feedback via email to ontbio@uoguelph.ca, or Contact Us page.
